HG puts best foot forward to raise £30,000 for charity

This year we organised our first HG Construction 5k run for charity, with over 30 staff members getting involved to raise an incredible £30,000 for charity.

The HG 5k run raised over £15,000, with HG match funding the amount raised to make a total of £30,000. The funds raised will be split evenly between three local charities – Mind, Lister Neonatal Big Build and Garden House Hospice, and will help the charities provide vital services to the local community.

Greg Purkiss, Commercial Director, HG Construction commented: “We would like to thank all the staff who participated in this event and fully put their energies behind it. We’d also like to thank our supply chain partners and the wider company team who supported and donated so generously to this fundraising event.

“It has been a challenging year for everyone, particularly the charitable sector which has suffered from not being able to run physical fundraising events as normal. We are delighted to be able to support these local charities to help those most in need. This was our first organised run in aid of charity and we have been very pleased with its success. We now have plans to keep this going in future and make it an annual event.”
