SCAPE Shoreditch encompassed 541 en-suite studios with communal facilities, retail areas and over 4000m² of educational space. The in-situ concrete frame was constructed on piled foundations, finished with brickwork and perforated metal cladding. A concrete frame was used for the two main buildings and podium deck with light gauge steel framing to form the two end towers. The internals were constructed with the inclusion of high-quality factory manufactured pod en-suite shower rooms.

A logistically challenging project located on an island, the site was close to Old Street Station in addition to a variety of mixed residential and commercial properties. Detailed logistical planning was paramount with daytime road closures agreed to ensure safe and efficient access, deliveries and the protection of all.
