This design and build scheme provided high-quality student accommodation for Anglia Ruskin University. Spanning across four blocks, the design encompassed flats, studios, 270 bedrooms and ancillary areas. The construction was a timber frame solution with piled and raft foundations to the substructure.

Early-stage engagement coupled with HG’s expertise in similar student developments meant the team were able to value engineer a number of alternatives. Solutions including a closed panel timber frame, electric heating and HG supplier partners for kitchens and joinery generated significant cost and programme savings for the client, culminating in handover some 2 months ahead of programme.
