LONG STREET, SHOREDITCH

Status: Complete
Category: Student Accommodation / Co-living
Value: £23M
Client: BLACKROCK REAL ASSETS

Long Street comprised the design and construction of a student accommodation building, providing 273 units over 8 floors. Communal facilities and student amenity spaces were created within the basement, at ground and first floor levels and roof terraces. The unitised façade was an integral part of the proposals with the use of high quality materials in an innovative design. The building incorporated a sustainable approach including green roof technologies.

A highly challenging development with regard to logistical safety management, the site footprint was located in close proximity to operational Network Rail and London Underground lines and across an existing Thames Water sewer, necessitating licences and bespoke buildover and survey solutions.
